Culture and Values
We have an excellent track record of long-term employee retention. Our senior managers all have 10-25 or more years of industry experience, many of them spent at Benoit. About half of our employees have been with Benoit for five years or longer. That's an accomplishment we're proud of - especially in Alberta's tight labour market.
Benoit is operated by its two owners, Calvin Winterholt and Dan Delemont. Our priority is to foster great morale in our team of employees and managers. We're very hands-on managers. We visit the job sites frequently, and we keep our doors open when we're in the office, so that our people have direct access to us. We take pride in knowing every employee by name. This helps us to build a company that is operationally excellent and safe - plus enjoyable to work for.
For a company of its size, Benoit offers a very diverse range of job opportunities. Once you're part of the team we'll do all we can to provide a path to continuing education, advancement and new job opportunities and challenges. Among other things, we provide opportunities for apprenticeships in a number of trade areas, such as welding, pipefitting, and crane tickets. We offer competitive to above-average compensation, and a solid line-up of benefits, including group health, dental, disability and life insurance.
Benoit offers a mix of short-term and long-term employment. The seasonal fluctuation in oilfield activity means that we take on temporary workers each year. Benoit provides short-term employees with accommodation in Chauvin or near the jobsite. Some of you have come from Eastern Canada, returning home when the work assignment was complete - and then have returned to Benoit in following years.
Benoit is owned and managed by oilfield service industry veterans who are committed to building a company that is great to work for and operationally excellent.
