About Benoit

Senior Management

Benoit is 100 percent owned by its senior management, Calvin Winterholt, president,and Dan Delemont, Vice President and Lead Operations Manager. Each has decades of experience in the oilfield services industry. They have jointly owned Benoit since 2000 and continue to operate the company.

The company's supervisors and managers all are oilfield service sector veterans who specialize in areas such as facilities construction, steel pipeline or fibreglass pipeline installation. Some of them are ticketed tradesmen in areas such as welding, pipefitting, and equipment operating. Their professional experience ranges from a minimum of 10 years to nearly 30 years.

Calvin Winterholt - President, 75 percent owner

Calvin has more than 25 years of experience in the oilfield construction and maintenance sectors. He has dedicated his entire career to Benoit. Calvin joined the company as a labourer in 1983. Over the following years he held progressively more senior positions, including equipment operator, shop and crew coordinator and field supervisor. In 1990, Calvin and another Benoit employee purchased the company, each acquiring a 50 percent interest. Since then Calvin's focus has been on project estimating/bidding and contract negotiation, quality control, project management and company management. In 2000, Benoit's other owner sold his interests, and Calvin became 75 percent owner (with Dan Delemont acquiring 25 percent). Calvin has several industry-relevant certifications, including H2S Alert, St. John's Ambulance First Aid and C.P.R. He lives in the Chauvin area. You can e-mail Calvin here.

Daniel Delemont - Vice President, Lead Operations Manager, 25 percent owner

Dan has had a nearly 30-year career in the oilfield construction, operations and drilling sectors. Since 1994, he has worked at Benoit in various capacities including pipeline spread foreman, crew coordinator and operations manager, rising to lead operations manager. In 2000, Dan acquired a 25 percent interest in the company and became partner to Calvin Winterholt, the company's president. Prior to joining Benoit, Dan was a field foreman with Amax Petroleum of Canada Inc., where he was responsible for operating and maintaining an oilfield with 50 wells. Previous to that he worked for several drilling and contracting companies in operations, maintenance and drilling, beginning his career as a roughneck. Dan has numerous industry-relevant qualifications, including accident investigation, First Aid, C.P.R, H2S Alive, oilfield preventative maintenance, TDG, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and ground disturbance. Brian Robinson - Operations Manager

Brian is responsible for ensuring that Benoit's work is carried out efficiently and safely in the areas of pipeline construction, battery construction, satellite upgrades and pump jack sets. Brian has been with Benoit since 1999. Before that he spent 1987-1999 as a senior operator with Renaissance Energy, where he was a drilling rig supervisor, diagnosed operating issues and organized repair and maintenance projects. He has prior experience working on drilling rigs, driving a truck and working on a farm. Brian has a variety of industry-relevant training and certifications, including WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid, C.P.R., transportation of dangerous goods, B.O.P. ticket, firefighting and confined space.
